Conditional column with blank

I've created a conditional column and want to output the value 'x' for when the column's value is blank. However I can't figure how this is done. I've tried leaving the value empty and also using " " but neither works.

Can anyone advise?

Hi, how about if the col. is date value? I try give it blank but not allowed

Don't put anything in the values field. Leave it blank.
