Conditional Formatting with Multiple Columns with Multiple Files in PowerBI

Hello Team,

I have combined 5 files in powerbi with same columns but values are different.

In PowerBI, We have created a Matrix and shown "Server" as rows, "file name" as column and "Snapshot Usage" as Value.

We have 5 files in a folder like below table.. Cluster Name and Server Name will be same in all 5 files but Snapshot Usage value alone will differ.

Daily file will be uploaded to this folder with file name as Date.

ClusterServerSnapshot Usage
Cluster1Server1162.53 GiB
Cluster1Server2-
Cluster1Server30.00 B
Cluster1Server443.09 GiB
Cluster1Server5318.91 GiB
Cluster1Server6-
Cluster1Server70.00 B

Now we need conditional formatting in below matrix table.. Is it possible to highlight a cell with different colour if left side value is same?

Could you please suggest.

I dont have any date columns in any of the files only file name will have date.

Regards

Arun

Hi @arun2001mjl ,

Based on your description, I have created a simple sample:

vjianbolimsft_0-1687763899499.png

First add a new column:

vjianbolimsft_1-1687763915801.png

Then use this measure to conditional formmating your data:

Measure =
var _a = CALCULATE(SELECTEDVALUE('Table'[Snapshot Usage]),FILTER(ALL('Table'),[Cluster]=SELECTEDVALUE('Table'[Cluster])&&[Server]=SELECTEDVALUE('Table'[Server])&&[Sort]=SELECTEDVALUE('Table'[Sort])-1))
return IF(_a=SELECTEDVALUE('Table'[Snapshot Usage]),"Red","White")

Final output:

vjianbolimsft_3-1687764540967.png

Best Regards,

Jianbo Li
