If you have stepped row headers can you get conditional formatting data bars to show by group?
For example
In this simplified example picture the data bars consider all rows when determining bar height. I would like 2016 & 2017 to be treated separately. Is this possible?
Hi @js2246,
What do you mean of "I would like 2016 & 2017 to be treated separately"? You want to the color of bar in 2016 and is different from the color in 2017? If it is, we can't achieve it after test. Please review the following feature request and vote it.
Conditional formatting for data bars in matrix visual

I'm not really as much interested with the bar color as the size of the bar. As you can see in this example all of the Products in 2017 had much larger counts so they get the larger bars and 2016 has small bars in comparison. I want the bar size to be treated separately by year so that I can visually look at the bars in 2016 and see the distribution for Products and which Product had the most. I can't do this right now because the bar size for 2016 is being determined in comparison to 2017 and therefore are tiny.
