Hello,
I'm trying to implement a conditional drillthrough in my table. Depending on which column is selected, only the corresponding drillthrough option should be displayed.
My table has the following structure:
Date (Hierarchy) | A1 | B1 | C1
I'm using the date hierarchy and measures A2, B2, and C2 on the drillthrough pages. However, when I right-click on a value in column B1, all drillthrough options (A2, B2, and C2) are currently shown. I would like only the B2-specific drillthrough option to appear in this case.
Is there a way to configure the drillthrough behavior so that only the relevant option is shown based on the selected column?
Thank you in advance!
Hi @hish ,
Since this functionality isnt currently available, you can post your ideas here, if it gets enough votes, it might get implemented.

Hey @hish ,
That’s a great question, it shows good attention to detail!
But currently, Power BI doesn’t support conditional drillthrough based on the specific column you right-click in a table or matrix. It only checks whether the drillthrough filters (like a value not being blank) can be applied from the selected row.
Even if you set up separate drillthrough pages for A, B, and C, all of them might still show up in the menu if their filters can technically be satisfied from that row, regardless of which column you clicked.
This is because drillthrough works on the row context, not on the specific measure or column selected.
Hope that helps!
Hi @hish
I have created a mockup is this what you are trying to achieve?:
Edit:
If @rajendraongole1 advises it is not possible then ignore this.

Hello Sam, thank you very much. Unfortunetly your solution does not work for me as intended. I have sums as a column and not measures. Do you know a workaround for that?
Hi @hish - Power BI currently does not natively support conditional drillthrough targets based on the selected column or measure.all drillthrough pages that have matching filter context (like date or other fields) will show up regardless of where the right-click happens in the visual.
suggest you to create a tooltip page for each measure to drive the tooltip content.
Hope this helps.
