The Conditional Action to a web url works when the Title is static, but not when the Title is also conditional.
Is there a known workaround for this?
Thanks for the reply from Greg_Deckler.
Hi @turbobeagle18 ,
As with Greg_Deckler , I also experimented and created a button with a shape that is not a rectangle and has the title and action conditionally formatted, at which point the button is functional.
I am using 2024 August version, you can try to install the latest version of Power BI Desktop. download link below:
Download Microsoft Power BI Desktop from Official Microsoft Download Center

@turbobeagle18 I can't replicate this in Desktop. Is this in the Service? Are you on the latest version of Desktop? See attached PBIX below signature. If you select 20 in the slicer, the button will go to bing.com. Otherwise it will go to google.com. The title is dynamic as well as the button text.
Thanks Greg. This is in the Desktop, version January 2028 (which I am required to use). I am not using a slicer. I need to see the title assigned as a specific value in a table, and the action assigned as a specific value in a table. The button will work if 1 or the other (title or action) are conditional, but not both. It looks to be a bug. However, I found that the RECTAGLE object can accomodate both (conditional text along with conditional action.)
@turbobeagle18 Time traveler. I will be sure to note that the January 2028 version, when it is released, has this bug in it. Thanks for the heads up! 🤣🤣
