Concatenated formula in excel - reformated to date when upload to Power Bi

I have a concatenated column to bring together the Month name and year., but when I import the data to power Bi it is changing the format of my concatenated column to the date. I changed the format in Power Bi to text and it still shows the date. I want it to show the concatenated Month and year.  See the screenshot, any help? Please and thank you!

You can load the first 2 columns and then create the concatenated field in Power Query

Click Add Column -->Custom Column and on the pop window add this formula [Month Name] & " " & [Year]

 Hi, @wenzsa

Because the engine implicitly converts text to numbers as necessary, an easier way to do this is to remove the default step(Changed Type) in the Query Editor

Sample:

v-angzheng-msft_1-1619173348515.jpeg

Result:

v-angzheng-msft_2-1619173348517.jpeg

Check data type:

v-angzheng-msft_3-1619173348518.jpeg

Is this the result you want? Hope this is useful to you

Please feel free to let me know If you have further questions
