Concatenated Date Sort Order in Chart

Hi,

I have a concatenated cloumn - "Year - Month = CONCATENATE([Discharge - Fiscal Year],[Discharge - FM])" It reads from two "Whole Number" formatted columns, I'm using it for a Line and Stacked Column Chart. However, on the axis it displays as:

Year and Month points on the X axis

2017-01,    2017-10,    2017-11,   2017-02

I am not sure how to make it read (or format) as a date, and sort in order with in the chart. I have tried formatting and different concatenates, I am somewhat new to Power BI so i might be missing something obvious.

Hi,

Do not concatendate the two columns.  Drag Year and Month seperately to the X-axis of your line chart.

Yes thanks for the reply. That was my first action, but it does not plot the months, it places the year in each end of the line. I've switched the order but can not get it to plot individual month. Seems like it should be very simple.

Any other suggestions?

Hi,

At the top left hand side of the chart, you will see 2 drill down bottons.  Play with those.
