I have two fields of type date and I need to concatenate them, but when I do this they stop being of type date and they happen to be type text, and when I try to convert through power bi is occurring error informing that it is not possible to convert, I tried Convert through the measure but without success, how can I solve this?
Column = IndicatorValue [StartDateTime] & "-" & IndicatorValue [EndDateTime]
@Anonymous,
This is expected behavior. After you concatenate two date type fields, the values in the new column are like “2/3/2017-5/1/2017”, which are not valid Date format. Thus you are not able to convert the column form Text type to Date type.

Any suggestions for turning this column into date?
@Anonymous,
It is not possible to convert value such as "2/3/2017-5/6/2017" from text type to Date type as the value is not a valid date value.
Why do you need to concatenate two Date type columns and convert the new column to Date type?

Lydia

I need because when I play a field of the date type on the filter object the filter does not work as expected
Hi @Anonymous
Can you add details about your problem with date filter? What tyope of date filter you used? What behavior you've expected and what went wrong?
