As I understand composite mode does not require any turning on? So I've tried in pure "Direct query" file get data from excel file and got notification (That all queries will be changed to "import" mode). I assume that my version of power by is not supporting composite mode, so I was wonder I which version of PBI it was introduced?

Hi @alex-JF
Can you expand on what data sources you are using.
Which is Direct Query and which is loaded data.
There is a list of considerations here which probably have your scenario burried in them:

I've read description of "composite" feature and it did not explain me one crushial moment - in which version it was introduced.
On the other hand if you wondering for now it is using direct query to postgres for timecritical data, and I was hoping to introduce additional data which can be obtained from excel files or with some difficulties can be encorporated to postgres db. So I would prefer first option if possible.
