Hi there
In Import Mode, there will always be shown a blank row for missing values in a dimension.
In a composite modell, this seems not to be working.
For example, I have a dimension with just one entry:
The dimension has been published into the service.
Then I created a new pbix, imported the fact tables and used the dimension as a shared dataset.
The fact table looks like this:
The result in a visual looks like this:
Why does this happen? And how may the problem be resolved?
Thx for your help
Hi @Pfisterbi , did you ever find an answer to your question?
I'm in the same situation now... having missing dimensions and working in a mixed model. thanks!
Hi @Pfisterbi ,
Did you create a relationship between these table based on ID? Or please make the relationship active.
Best Regards

Relationship is set.
See picture of the modell with data included.
While working in a full import mode, DimID 2 is shown as blank.
But in mixed mode (Dimension as shared dataset), DimID 2 is missing.
Thx for your help.
Hi @Pfisterbi, if you right click on the field in the visual. Does it give you the option to show items with no data?
Hi @davehus
Yes,but it does not solve the issue, as this feature only works for dimension attributes without a corresponding fact record.
