Hi Team,
I have a created a report using Composite model which has :
Data source : SQL server
Model design
Table 1, 2- Storage mode : Direct Query
Table 3 - Storage mode : Import
Table 4 - Storage mode : Import
Table 5 - Calculated table built on Table 4
Table 6 - Calculated table built on Table 5
Relationships :
Table 3 joined with table 5
Table 1,2 joined with table 5
Table 6 joined with Table 5
Cardinality is 1 - m and due to the way data needs to be filtered have direction as both for some of the joins.
Scheduled Refresh : Daily
Issues:
- Dataset not getting refreshed even after On Demand refresh is done
- Looks like its caching onto previously selected filters or previous day data state
When model is opened and refreshed and dataset is DELETED and recreated it works as expected for time being.
However the data behaves the same way as mentioned in the Issues the next day or may be after some hours.
Can anyone help with why the refresh /caching or any other reason for why this not behaving as expected?
Hi @Anonymous ,
Could you please update your gateway and try again. btw, did you get any error message? Kindly share it to me. Or you can try to delete the dataset and republish the report to check again.
Thanks for your response .
The gateway is up and running. Only when I delete the dataset and republish I see the latest data .
It seems the calculated tables being used are not getting refreshed and the joining tables are picking up filters based on the last state.
Hey there,
I know this thread is from two years ago but I was wondering if you found a solution to this issue? Thanks!
