Comparing two values between tables
I'm writing a report on M365 data and I'm trying to create a column in a table visual that shows if the version of M365 is supported by Microsoft. My issue here is that I'm trying to compare the two values in table 2 (device inventory) against table 1 (supported versions) and return a new column (Yes/No) in table 2 stating if the version of M365 is supported. I've been banging my head against this for a while. Thank you in advance.
Table 1:
| Channel | Build Version |
| Current | 17029 |
| Semi-Annual | 15601 |
| Semi-Annual | 16130 |
Table 2:
| Device Name | Username | Build Version | Channel |
| Joe_PC | Joe | 16130 | Semi-Annual |
| Don_PC | Don | 15601 | Semi-Annual |
| Sarah_PC | Sarah | 17029 | Current |
Hi,
I am not sure if I understood your question correctly, but please check the below picture and the attached pbix file whether it suits your requirement.
expected result CC = VAR _condition = CALCULATE ( COUNTROWS ( 'supported versions' ), TREATAS ( SUMMARIZE ( FILTER ( 'device inventory', 'device inventory'[Device Name] = EARLIER ( 'device inventory'[Device Name] ) && 'device inventory'[Username] = EARLIER ( 'device inventory'[Username] ) ), 'device inventory'[Build Version], 'device inventory'[Channel] ), 'supported versions'[Build Version], 'supported versions'[Channel] ) ) >= 1 RETURN IF ( _condition, "Yes", "No" )
