Comparing two columns in a table...

Hi All

Trying to create a table that compares two column values and returns a value where there is a match ('Balanced' or 'Imbalanced').

I know I've done it correctly as its working in most cases, however there are many (too many to be comfortable with) that are clearly matching but are being reported as "imbalanced".

Its a large data set, just under 4m rows, but I don't believe that should be an issue...

I'm using:

Match = IF('Summary of Accounted DR and CR'[Sum of Accounted_CR]='Summary of Accounted DR and CR'[Sum of Accounted_DR], "Balanced", "Imbalanced")

I get the following;

 matching cells reported as not matching (Imbalanced)...matching cells reported as not matching (Imbalanced)...

it's probably rounding issues, you can add ROUND() to your comparison to cut of at the same precision to solve it

Aaah! I didn't think that was the issue but playing around with the forumula and then eventually switching the data type of the two currency cells to 'Fixed Decimal..' seems to have eliminated any formatting/ rounding issues! (if that's what it does)

Merci Beaucoup! Smiley LOL
