Compare values with value from different row from different measure

Hello,

I have a problem with calculating a few things.
I have a simple table and need to compare two values. Index_Current with Index_New but the trick is to compare it with different value from different row.

Current_Index and Index_New are measures, but nothing sophisticated.

Example.
If Index_New is for example 6, then the measure should take WD_Sum value from the row where Index_Current is 6

Like I wrote, everything looks fine but I don't quite undestand why comparing Current with new is the

Index_New = _indexCurrent

But the comparing new with current is

[Index_Current] = __indexNew

I guess i had errors in the first place because I've thought that would be other way around. Can you explain more why does it work?

Best Regards
