Combining Two Tables with Different Refresh Behaviors

Hi everyone,

I would like to check if it is possible to combine two tables into a single final table, where:

  • The first table contains filtered data (e.g., from the beginning of the year until April) and should no longer be refreshed.

  • The second table contains data from May to the present and should continue to refresh regularly.

I have already tried this approach, but even after unchecking the "Include in report refresh" option for the first table, both tables still get refreshed when updating the report.

Is there a way to achieve this setup?

Thank you

Hi! On your table that is historical data, as long as the view you are importing from in the datawarehouse no longer is updating, even if you refresh in Power BI it will not matter. However, you should be able to set up incremental refresh so that only the table with new data is refreshing based on what you define for your refresh policy.

Hi @lucaspisso

Just checking in regarding the solution shared by @audreygerred on setting up incremental refresh for your scenario. Could you let us know if this approach helped resolve your issue, or if you’re still facing the same problem?

Hi @lucaspisso

Just following up on the solution shared by @audreygerred  for setting up incremental refresh in your scenario. Were you able to implement it successfully, or are you still running into the same issue?
