Hi,
Just looking for a bit of help regarding the addition of values in my table. I have uploaded all of my data from an excel sheet and when I put the data into tables the columns do not add up correctly. Just wondering if anyone could offer any advice please. I have posted an example below:
Column A
4
2
1
5
6
Total - 11 (total should be 18)
Hi- could you pelase post a screenshot? It sounds like you might be using a distinct count (counts each unique value, so only counts apples once instead of each time apples appear) instead of a normal count.
Hi
Have you made sure to format the numbers as integers?
Hi, It is not numbers I am working with, for example if I have a list of all fruit it will count how many 'apples' are in my spreadsheet, so it is working with words rather than numbers.
Hi
In that case, go into the table. Under fields, select the little arrow next to the value and you can choose "Show value as" -> "Percent of grand total".
If it doesn't work with strings, you can add a column to your dataset with the count, so for each column of apple the value is 1. Then you can do the above, it works for sure with integers.
Let me know if this help.
Please excuse the poor edit. Cannot post real data due to confidentiality
