Column series and Small Multiples wells in Line and clustered column chart

Hi

This visual has several wells and I know how to use Shared Axis, Column Value, Line Value. However, I do not know how to use: Column Series and Small Multiples wells? What they are for? Thank you very much.

Hi @lastnn30 ,

Small multiples, or trellising, splits a visual into multiple versions of itself. The versions are presented side by side, with data divided across these versions by a chosen dimension. For example, a small multiple could split a “sales by product” column chart across countries or customer segments.

To add data to the Power BI Line and Clustered Column Chart, we have to add the required fields:

  • Shared Axis: Please specify the one that represents the Vertical Axis.
  • Column Series: Specify the one that represents the Clustered column Bars.
  • Column Values: Any Numeric value such as sales, profit, etc., that represent the Vertical bars.
  • Line Values: Any Numeric value that represents the Line.

Here are some references that may be helpful.
