On one of my data sets, the date column won't change to date type. It comes in the format of "yyyymmdd 00:00:00.000". I tried to use column from examples to change it to mm/dd/yyyy so that it could be changed to date. The problem is that column from example only shows 100 rows, all of which happen to be in february. When I try to do column from examples, all of the new dates are in february, even when the month isn't.

@Anonymous Try splitting your column on the space and then take the first resulting column yyyymmdd and try changing it to date type.
