Hi there,
I want to append three tables but I want to add a column to each table which differentiates them by using the table/ source name. I am new to Power Bi and when trying to research this I do not understand most of the solutions provided.
I have three files: Oct, Nov and Dec. I do not have a date column. How can I achieve this?
Add them as three files as three tables. Add a new column as date like in oct file add oct date in nov nov date
new column
date = date(2019,10,01)
in nov file
date = date(2019,10,01)
now use append file

To get the best of the time intelligence function. Make sure you have a date calendar and it has been marked as the date in model view. Also, join it with the date column of your fact/s.
