Column created on DAX not visible in Power Query

Hello,

I have created a column A in TABLEX via DAX on power bi but  when i go on the "transform data" tab (power query), i can't see the column A in my TABLEX.

Is this normal?

Hi @Anonymous ,

According to your description, you first need to confirm your connection mode. Because in direct query mode, they can only refer to the values of other columns in the same table without using any aggregation functions.

Alternatively you can further describe your requirements, provide the relevant test data model (remove sensitive information) and the desired results. It is convenient for me to solve it for you as soon as possible.

Best Regards,
Henry

@Anonymous , Columns created in DAX will not be visible in power query .

Power Query is the data preparation layer. and the output of that is used by DAX. Not vice versa

Try to create same column in power query If  possible

Then, How can i please translate this formula created in DAX on power query?

N = VAR _a =

    CALCULATE (

        CALCULATE (

            MAXX ( Data, Data[A] ),

            TREATAS (VALUES( Data[A] ), 'Data-CMDB'[B])

        )

    )

RETURN

    IF ( ISBLANK ( _a ), "YES", _a )

I don't know how to use a related column of table X in another table Y
