Closed network conection to SQL

Hello,

I run power Bi dashboards  on a lot of data, Today i have to download the into CSV and upload into power BI.

I would like to start getting the reports in real time, But we have a closed network were the SQL data source is.

How  can i get Power BI to work in this eviroment ? can i make a dashboard and publish it locally some how ?   And how offten can i make the dashboard update ?

Do i need a special Power BI licence to do this ?

Hope i have made sence, and thanks for any help.

Hi @philip657 ,

If you mean that datasource is stored in internal network, I think this should more related to your network settings. You need to enable proxy on your device network and gateway side to keep network connection.

Configure proxy settings for the on-premises data gateway
