Clear drillthrough filters applied after drillthrough occurs

We have a global set of slicers available on every page. If a user drills through to a detail page and then applies additional filters how can I reset all filters that were applied after the drillthrough occurs.

The current solution for resetting all filters is to bookmark a page without filters applied and to provide a button that navigates to that bookmark as it's action. However, bookmarking this drillthrough page before data is applied is undesireable as it leaves some visuals blank.

Any ideas on how to reset filters applied to a drillthrough page that were applied after the drillthrough occurs but retain the filters passed by the drillthrough step itself?

Hi @buellD ,

Unfortunately, there is not a proper way to implement clear all filters but retain the result passed by the drillthrough. If there are many visuals in the detail page, maybe you could add a slicer which is the same as the filters of drillthrough to filter the page.

I believe I found a solution. If you select all the filters on your drill through page and update the clear filters bookmark for the drill through page to "Selected Visuals" the drill through filters that were passed through are still applied and only the filters you selected on the drill through page are reset. Hope this helps!

Hi, could you explain your approach in greater details please? Perhaps, screenshots would be really helpful 🙂

Let me know if this helps!

Once you have drilled through to the new page, use your mouse to select all of the silcers on that page that you want to be able clear and add/create a bookmark. Then right-click on the newly created bookmark (with the slicers still selected) and check "Selected Visuals" instead of “All visuals”. Next, add button on the page to "Clear Filters" and add the bookmark as the action.

This will keep the filters applied that were passed at drill through but clears any additional filters applied by the user on the drill through page.
