I have two stacked column chart : chart one displays net sales sum by year (x axis) and other chart shows net sales by year (x axis) and product (legend). The first chart shows correct total net sales for each year whereas the second chart shows wrong sum of sales. When I export the second chart data in excel there it shows the correct sum.
Any reason why its happening?

Hi,
I resolved the issue myself. It was happening because the variable used in legend has 6k unique categories due to which the visual was not able to display each category value.
Thanks
Hi @Anonymous ,
Based on my test using power bi desktop version : 2.78.5740.861 64-bit (February 2020). I cannot reproduce your issue here. Did you set any filter to your visual? Also you can share your sample data and excepted result to me by removing Confidential Information. Please upload your files to One Drive and share the link here.

Yeah, but why it is showing all the values if I remove legend. Its just I am adding legend and values get reduced. Also, there are no additional filters applied.
I tried on my system and it does not reduce the value(I taken at the item level to have quite a few values ). It could be because of some visual level filters. Or formula has some filter. Please share screenshot and formula
As you can see left chart shows 1.2 M net sales whereas right chart shows some 15k net sales. Also the legend category - Master product formula is there in the image. There are no visual level filter or page level filter. I checked after exporting data from left chart that the total sum of net sales is 1.2 M which is not present in the chart.
Sorry, I am not allowed to transfer any data.
