Changing source

Hi guys,

I have developed a report using DEV. now i want to change the source to PROD

I have a service account the report must use now.

SQL connects.

When i change source and use the service account, it wont connect.

If I start  PowerBI using tha service accout, I can connect

Any idea why?

@IanCockcroft , does this Service account has access to the database(Sql Server ?) ?

 

Have you setup permission for sql server for that -https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/database-engine/configure-windows/configure-windows-service-acc...
