Changing size of the dots in the map visual based on sales volume

Hello,

I'm using the 'Map' visualisation in PowerBI. So I entered latitude and longitude field of each store no problem, the dot show up on the map. I also added a legend to reprensent our different companies, so the dots become small pie-charts, fine. I added a tooltip with a little table I made from another tab where you see the top sales by product in each location. But when I put sales volume in the size field, all the dots still stay the same size even if the sales vary from store to store...

-I tried putting the sales volume field, where the format is decimals and the operation on the field is sum. It didn't work.

-I also tried creating a measure doing just measure name = SUM(sales volume field) and putting that measure in the size field. It didn't work either.

-I tried a marketplace visual 'drilldown cartogram' the size of the dot was changing according to sales but you couldn't use another tab as tooltip. I was hoping the default 'map' visual could work.

Am I doing something wrong?

Hi, @Anonymous

Based on your description, I wonder whether there is a relationship between your tables. I did some tests and it appears normal.

Could you please show me your data model view? Do mask sensitive data before uploading. Thanks.

@v-alq-msft there was only a single table in my data source, it's a table with dimension and fact in the same query.

@amitchandak here is my visualisation. I think it's because the standard deviation between every account is not very big that's why the dot seem to be the same size and I think I found outliers data point that also influence this. sample_data.png
