Changing Live connection to PowerBI Dataset

 I would like to change SSAS Live connection to PowerBI dataset instead of copying the visuals, bookmarks from existing dashboard (Live connection Model) to new dataset. Is there any possibility to change the live connection to new dataset?

Hi @Naveen29 ,

If your the datasource in your dataset is SSAS, I think Direct Query for Power BI Dataset function will not be supported.

For reference:

• Using any of the following sources as a DirectQuery source isn't supported:

  • SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
  • SAP HANA
  • SAP Business Warehouse
  • Real-time datasets
  • Sample Datasets
  • Excel Online Refresh
  • Import Excel / CSV files
  • Usage metrics (My workspace)
