Change values in a column

I am bringing data over from an excel table and one column of data is dollar in the dollar value format (ex: $2.60) but when it shows up in the Power BI table, it shows up as 2.60 (no dollar sign). How do I assign a currency format in the Power BI table structure? Thanks for any help you all can provide.

Hello,

On the Modelling tab -> Formatting you have the currency symbol button with the $ sign. You have select for your field/measure the respective currency.
