Change multiple dates to show just the year in a table chart

New to Power BI

What I want to is to change The left colum date to to chart on the right so it just shows the year. Cant find an answer or what this is called. The data is month/year/Day format, I just want to show the year, I already set up a calculated colum for the month

Do you use a matrix visual in Power BI desktop? If it is, please review the following example I tested, and get expected result.

I create a matrix visual. and click the button(highlighted in yellow background), you will get the visual shown in first screenshot.

Then turn off the "Stepping out"(highlighted in yellow background) under the format. You will get desired visual shown in screenshot2.
