Hi team,
I have a report prepared with time series input. A folder is set as input data set where there are muliple excels with same format but with different time period. Date Time format is "MM.DD.YYYY HH:MM"
Now, there is a new input data but with different date format. New Date Time format is MM.DD.YYYY but rest of column are same and same order. When i drop this report in the folder, Power BI throws an error while refreshing.
I want to prepare similar report with this new input. Shall I need to start prepare the report again from scratch or can we re use the report already prepared? by just changing the format of one column ?
Hi @Anonymous ,
Can you share the details on what error you are getting? Share some screenshots please.

HI Pragati,
I am a novice and just started using Power BI so I may not be even able to define my problem. however below are some snapshots to clarify the issue.
Date format with existing reports.
The new report has change in only first column format
new format
When I put a report with this new format in the input folder and I refresh, I get below error.
I have two queries here:
1. Cannot we have a combined table using two reports having difference in date format?
2. If not, then can we reuse visuals/graphs preapred in new table have similar structure ? This will save my time.
Thanks,
Vijay
Hi @Anonymous ,
The error seems to be caused by the field "RSLTE001-_-SystemXXXX" can't be found in the query. Which data source you are connecting to? Excel file or other? Did you make any changes in source file? Could you please share the applied codes in Advanced Editor?
And about your two queries, which tables do you want to combine? The number of fields and the field name in both tables are same? Could you please provide some sample data in these two tables? Thank you.
Best Regards
Rena
