Change from ODBC Connection to Oracle Connection

Hello everybody,

I would like to know, is it possible to change data source from ODBC to Oracle Database without loading every table again and reconstruct the report?

I have created a report based on a ODBC connection with a couple of tables. My report is already used by a few people. Now IT department has changed the connector from ODBC to Oracle Database.

I would like switch the connection without recreating the whole report. Is that possible?

Thank for your answer and have a good weekend!

Tendo

@Anonymous , Bit tricky, But you can try , it may work.

Create a new connection with oracle and add all table. Now open power query, right click on the table, open advance editor and take the top part of the script for each table (see if only changing connection details can help) , replace that on the top part of the old file. See if that can work.

Keep a backup of file
