Change datasource without apply

Hi, i have a pbix, with a simple datasource, that point a SqlServer on a server with the powerbi gateway, if i publish every everything works! Now i want publish to my customer server, so i install the gateway But how can i change the datasource on pbix without a Vpn ? There is a way to change the datasource without import data?

I don't find a way to save datasource without applying. Regarding your scenario, if you don't have the access to your customer's SQL Server, even you can save the datasource change, your gateway still has no access to the database. So maybe you can send the designed PBIX to your customer, and they publish it and set their own gateway for refreshing purpose.

I have the same problem, need to change the datasource outside from the organization office and after send it to the organization to be published, maybe @CharlieLiao can help us!

Already done, But when i change the Parms, it ask for credentials, i would publish without import, so it take the credential from the gateway
