Change database connection type from Import to Direct Query

hi all,

I have a pretty much complex reports(lot of calculations) developed in PBI Desktop which is currently using Import Data option and I want to switch it to Direct Query connection. Data source is Azure SQL DW.

Any easy way to do this (aprt form developign everythign from the scratch)?

Thanks in advance.

@narchans4u,

You may take a look at http://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Convert-Import-to-Direct-Query/m-p/293979#M129650.

Thank you for your response. I did try that workaround - which worked fine for simple report (with no measures and no DAX) while its failing for complex workbook (which is my case) 😞
