Change color of lines in Power BI

Hi,

I have a new version of Power BI desktop and I can´t find how to change the color of the line in a line chart. Where can I find this? Please help.

Thanx in advance.

Hi @sw123 ,

Regarding your question, it seems that you cannot modify the color of the line if the field you are using as 'Legend' has only one type. I did the same test in the April version of Power BI and the results were the same, so I think it is by design. If there is only one type, remove the field from the 'Legend' and you will be able to set the line color. If there are multiple types, you can set the color.

You should be able to remove the field from 'Legend', change the line colour, and then add the field back to 'Legend'. This worked for me.

You can change the color of the lines by selecting one series at the time ( the colors will remain)

Hi,

Thanx, but I can only see All in the series. So this doesn´t help. At the moment I only have one data line in the report, but there will be more later. But I think I still should be able to choose this one that I have?

Wow, this is rather disappointing

Ok, so then I was correct, I just simply couldn´t do it. This is just not great, since there will be more data lines in the future.

Hi sw123

Line Color options are most easily found by searching for "Line" in the format tab of your Visualisation, like I do below. Then adjust the "Color" option for your lines:

Hi,

Thanx, I can find this, but I cannot change the color. Why is that?
