Hello experts,
I have a line chart with forecast period set to one year using the analytics pane. Is there a way to use a slicer to change the forecast period? So users can dynamically change the forecasting period to what they want to see?
Thanks,
Hi @naizam ,
For using analytics pane, do you mean use Use insights in Power BI Desktop to explain increases and decreases seen in visuals ?
If so, it is impossible to filter the period unfortunately. We only can create a calculated column to calculate the forecast values and then use it as a slicer to filter.
If I misunderstand, can you please share more details and some screenshots?
Best Regards,
Xue Ding

Thank you for looking into this. By analytics pane, i meant using what is shown in the below screenshot
Hi @naizam ,
Apologize for misunderstanding. Currently, it's not available to use a slicer to change the forecasting period. If we want to filter the period, we need to calculate the forecasting values. You could reference the blog which teaches us how to calculate forecasting values.
