Cant access RRI Financial Function in Power BI Desktop when connected to Analysis Services

Hello Gurus,

I am working on an existing report and creating a measure to calculate RRI like in excel.

I was able to use RRI function when I am connected to local excel file but can't access RRI in Power BI Desktop when connected to Analysis Services (tabular cube). any help is much appreciated.

Hi Amit,

It says here that RRI is not possible with Direct Query. Could this the reason why it;s not available with Analysis Services (Tabular Cube) Live Connections?

It looks RRI is not working only if I connect to "Analysis Services" (Tabular cube).

Thanks for sharing the video. When I try to use RRI in Power BI desktop with live connection it shows as if RRI is not a valid function. If I open Power BI that has excel data source, I can see RRI function.

Is there any limiatation on live connections?
