Cannot get months to sort in chronological order

Here is my chart:

and here is my Date file.  My date file is sorted by the column PADFMO which represented the month number.  The last column to the right is MONTHNAME which correlates to PADFMO.  However, when I add the MONTHNAME field to the chart (above) it will not sort in chronological order.

What am I doing wrong?  The visual is NOT sorted by MONTHNAME.

Thank you for your response.  I received an error when sorting by "year-mo", but instead I selected to sort by the "PADFMO" which is my numeric month column. 

 

That worked!

in the table you need to select the "monthname" column an then sort by "year-mo" column.
