I merged two queries, and Power BI desktop crashed. In the automatically recovered file, the merged query didn't appear. I now am at a point where I want to delete one of the queries that I had initially merged, but Power BI desktop is not letting me saying it is being referenced by another query: "Merge1". The problem is, there is no Merge1 query, so not sure how I'm able to go about deleting this query?
Hi @mterry
After opening an auto-recovered file, you'll have to refresh the data model to see any data within the report.
Could you see the merged steps on the APPLIED STEPS pane?
Could you show a full screenshot ?
Best Regards
Maggie
The issue is that the data, at least what I can see, doesn't exist in the data model. There is no applied steps pane for the new, Merge1 query, as it doesn't appear to exist. Below is a screen-shot of what I see.
