Cannot create simple table

Hello,

I am a newbie but have been having fun creating Tables and Matrices from our data but I am stumped on a problem. Forgive me if it seems so basic.

I have 3 tables with relationships as shown in screenshot below

- Community View (from our SQL database)

- Referal Sources (from our SQL database) - this is a unique list of values

- Community Recruitment (imported from Excel sheet and shown below in screenshot 1.)

Screen shot 2 below - the relationship between the three tables seems to work find.

Screen shot 3 below - I create a table with 1) ID from Referal Sources 2) Referal Source Name from Community View 3) Count of AgentID from Community View. So far so good.

Screen shot 4 below - now I add Spend (USD) from Community Recruitment Spend where I want a sum and I get an error saying there is no existing relationship between the tables.

WHat am I doing wrong?

My first guess would be to change your relationship directions to be bi-directional versus uni-directional.

I don't really know why that works but it does. I guess I need some lessons. Thanks man for the speedy response.

It would also probably work if your uni-directional arrow went the other way. Basically, all of the filter directions need to flow back to your fact table. The way you had it setup originally, there was no way to figure out how your third table (right-most) filtered back to your first table and so it threw up its hands and gave up. So, think about your relationship directions in terms of what filters what.
