Cannot connect to local MySQL database.

hi community,

I have a MYSQL database installed on my system along with Power BI. I have been trying to connect the two together. Though it keeps asking me to install additional components before it can be used. I have installed the latest connector for 64-bit machine.

Still, it is not working. I am desperate for any help in connecting to the database. I am interning and power BI is a tool I am using, though I am having a serious issue accessing the database. please find below the image for the error

Hi @mayankkapoor85,

From the error message, it looks like you didn't install the correct MySQL connector successfully. You can download the ODBC Driver for MySQL(connector/ODBC) from below link, this connector worked well in my environment.

Check your connector version/type and also ensure you install it via MSI option.
