Hi all,
I've created an interactive Excel workbook (.xlsb format), which includes various features, including event triggered macros, autofilters and data validation.
I've attempted to publish this to Power BI (via the "Upload" option) in order to share it amongst various users within my Org, however each time I try it fails with the message "Publishing Failed". I can view the "Error Details", which are as follows:
Activity ID: 4C5A4DE0-4CF4-4CF5-998F-33576D8F4D00
Request ID: 700BC496-D8FA-4FEF-B89A-E652F0653939
Time stamp: 2017-06-09T09:34:45Z
Excel version: (16.0.7329)
When I click on "Learn how to solve this problem", I get directed to this URL: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-service-publish-from-excel/?ui=en-US&rs=en...
But I've gone through the list of details on this page, and I'm already successfully doing all the requirements it lists.
I am assuming that my workbook contains features currently unsupported by Power BI (or at least not supported for Publishing purposes), e.g. macros; however, after a while of Googling I've not been able to find anything to confirm that.
As such, I thought I would ask this question and see if anyone might be able to shed some light or confirm what might be causing this to fail. Just to run through a few obvious things:
- The workbook *is* saved to OneDrive for Business
- I *am* using the same account for OneDrive, Office 365 and Power BI
- The workbook is *not* empty
- The workbook does *not* contain any password protection (or other form of protection)
Any help anyone could provide would be greatly received.
Thank you,
A
