So I have a date slicer that tracks an event start date. The main table tradeshow has an event start date and then I have a look up dates table. The issue is that I have some tradeshow's that have a null value for the event start date. This is on purpose as we plan for events we sometimes don't know the event start date yet.
I know that people have said that I need to fill in the value at the dates table but the problem is that it SHOULD be a null value.
Is there conditional formatting I can do to rename BLANK() to something intuitive like "No Event Start Date Identified" in the below drop down and still keep the functionality of it being a date column.

I dont think it is possible when you want to persist it with Date data type. it wont let you do that.

Hi, @JohnYEG
Unfortunately, this is by design. Power BI is now unable to achieve what you need . You can submit an idea for it at https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums and wait for users with the same needs as you to vote for you to help make it happen as soon as possible.
