Can you have object-level security in Power BI Embedded?

Does Object-level security work for Power BI Embedded, or can it only work in the Power BI Service?

Did you mean that you want to get data from Power BI datasets?

To my knowledge, the connection mode is Live Connection,in this case, "Manage roles" option is not available.

So you need to switch the mode to Direct Query.

Firstly enable the following settings,then re-open the Power BI Desktop to connect PBI datasets

@mmossel OLS is a feature of tabular models and thus should work in embedded.

Hi @Greg_Deckler thanks for your respone. I was referring to using data models provided in the Power BI Service, does it still work then?
