Can't drag table column to the "values" field of a matrix visual

Hello all,

I am facing a strange issue whereby I can't put a table's column into the "values" field of a matrix visual.

It never happened earlier and I have multiple matrix visuals that contain table columns in the values field. However, recently when I try to create new matrix visuals, it's not allowing me to place anything besides meausures in the "values" field.

Would really appreciate any pointers, thanks!

I've had this issue come up before...never figured out the issue but am having the same issue now and there are a lot of fields. Would be a huge pain to have to create all of these...

Did you get a solution figured out?

Hello,

It's a text. Earlier, I was able to add it to values and show values as "Count" or "Distinct Count".

It's not possible to do so now

@Anonymous , what is the datatype of that column? Usually, it should allow all. Also, have you created any calculation groups?

I'm having this issue as well. I had calculation groups at one time. But like what was said earlier, I used columns for distinct, avg, min, etc. I turned off Calculation Groups, and restarted Power Bi(more then a few times) but I'm still not able to use the columns as values.
