Can't connect to Sharepoint Online URL

Steps I am doing -

1] Open Power BI desktop

2] Get Data > Online Services > Sharepoint online list > Connect

3] Provide various permutations of URL.

Issue observed -

1] On using base URL, it shows weird list of files from which I can't locate my desired file.

2] On providing URL of a specific folder, getting the error as -

    Details: "Microsoft.Mashup.Engine1.Library.Resources.HttpResource: Request failed:
OData Version: 3 and 4, Error: The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found. (Not Found)
OData Version: 4, Error: The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found. (Not Found)
OData Version: 3, Error: The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found. (Not Found)"

Extremely frustrating. Please help.

Have you maybe found the solution? I have the same problem. My file isn't on the "raw" sharepoint, it's in a folder, so I can't connect to it...

try to filter using folder path, if you can't filter the file using name

Hi @akashingole ,

This error should be caused by invalid sharepoint site url. As far as I know, the url should be in format as below.

https://DomainName.sharepoint.com/sites/SiteName/

You may follow the steps as below.

>Enter Site URL:

Hi Rico. Thank you for response.

I can reach the step 'Select the table you need' based on your solution. But I can't locate my file in these folders.

Can You filter rows by Folder Path and find your files there.

Please make sure that the file name doesnt contain any Character like #  if you are getting an error when you click on Binary.
