Hi folks,
I thought somebody might help on this weird issue. I have a table in Power Query with a column of type Decimal. However when I load it into Power BI Desktop, I can not add this field as Values in matrix visual. I have all the parameters set for this field to be treated as Decimal in Power BI.
Have you come accross such Power BI behaviour?
I am facing similar issue as well...
A few weeks ago a field can be used as SUM value in a matrix visual.
Now if I remove that Sum of Table[field] and try to add the very same field again, it is not possible anymore.
@amitchandak , here you are: https://drive.google.com/file/d/14CACeJjp-YKt8OB4PqMQhGgORoobpBtq/view?usp=sharing
Interestingly, fields "Total excl. Tax" and "ttt" show with a summarization sign in model view, but not in the report view. And I can not add any of these fields in the Values section of matrix visual. Never seen such behaviour before.
@gvg ,Open power query See not changes are pending. Save and close. CLosepower bi file and open again.
If needed clear cache from options and settings.
@amitchandak , still doesn't work. Tried to multiply column in question by 1 into new column - the new column is too not allowed to be dropped into Values field 😞
