Can I use measures as current and target values in Power KPI Matrix? If so how can I link them up?

Hi all,

This is my first time using Power KPI matrix visual and am very stuck! Essentially all of my actual values and target values are measures (because values would change depending on several filters e.g. region). All the actual values are correctly displayed (see below), but I don't know how to display the target values (which are also measures) in the comparison value box.

All the current values are measures from the same data table (‘KPI Analytics Overview’). They are mainly averages of a year’s worth of web traffic data, and can be filtered through filters (i.e., country, site and visitor type) at the top of the page.

The data table looks like this

My problem is, all the target values are not set values, they are mainly averages of the entire group (all sites instead of just one), and they change depending on the filter (country and visitor type), and I don't think I can create a table that are constructed with measures?

Can someone please help? Thank you!!!

Angelica

@achan  I often find it helpful when using new custom visuals for the first time to download the sample file from the app source:

https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/product/power-bi-visuals/wa104381299?tab=overview&signInModalT...

Have a look at the 'Vertical Tables' page in the sample report and the Column-Based Data Model with Metrics as Columns sample. I think this is similar to what you're trying to achieve.

Here is the sample file for this visual:

This has totally solved my problem!

You’re right! Because all of my data are column-based model, I have created several calculated columns for all the target values, and then set them against each current value by going to the column mapping section!

Thank you so so much for this :)!!
