Hi,
I am trying to create a calc group for Euro conversions where the current format string is £ pounds.
(so that my calc group ignores %'s, whole numbers etc.)
This is my current expression but it doesn't make any impact to the numbers when applied.
if ( selectedmeasureformatstring() = "£#,##0", selectedmeasure()*1.11, selectedmeasure())
I've tried a different combinations for the format string but not got anywhere.
Appreciate your time.
HI @h4n1234,
What type of calcium fields are you sued? measure or calculate column? If you mean the calculated column, they should not interact with filter effects, I'd like to suggest you create a measure instead. (calculate column and filter are hosted on different data levels and you can't use child level to affect its parent)
Notice: the data level of power bi.
Database(external) -> query table(query, custom function, query parameters) -> data model table(table, calculate column/table/RLS) -> data view with virtual tables(measure, visual, filter, slicer)
Regards,
Xiaoxin Sheng
