Calculating average sum per period in Power BI

Hi.

Having problem calculating average per period. For example data is per 8 month but my measure deletes result by all 12 months. 

Measure:

DIVIDE([sum], DISTINCTCOUNT('_Date'[month]))

What's your expected result? Could you please provide some sample data(exclude sensitive data) and your expected result with calculation logic and detailed explanation? Thank you.
