Calculate the total sum of a column (sales)

Hi everyone,

I need to know how to calculate the total sum of a column (sales) , so I can calculate the percentage of share sales considering rows  such as year, month, brand and client.

Here is an example of what I want, but in Power BI.

 I'm looking forward to read your answers 🙂

you can sales column again and chooise "show % of grand total" in arrow next to sales column.

If this doesn't work, I can write measure for you. try this above first.

Hi parry2k,

I'd really aprecciate if you can write the measure for me.

try this:

Sales = SUM(Table[Sales])

Total Sales = Calculate([Sales], All([Table])

% Sales = DIVIDE([Sales], [Total Sales], 0)

Add above 3 measures, drop sales and % sales in matrix. Make sure change the format of "% sales" to % under data modelling tab.

indeed, with this solution we come to a desired resultcustomer matrix.JPG

It didn't work.

Here is what I have in Power BI ( it's in spanish)

total vtas= total sales= CALCULATE([VtaVol],E1_T0_C0509_P0001_F1) --> The result it's the same what I got in sales, and It should appear for each row 26.86, which is the sum of the column sales, so in that way I can calculate the % of share sales

VtaVol = sales=  SUM(E1_T0_C0509_P0001_F1[VentaVol])
