Calculate Measure Help

Hi,

I'd like to always apply the same measure to the matrix independent of the data table.

For example the Balance Sheet, Total current assets is always the sum of say rows 10-15.

So the data table [TB] would become some sort of generic lookup for the values already in the matrix.

Total current assets =
calculate([TB],BS[Sort index] >= 10,BS[Sort index] <= 15)

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for reading.

Hi @smitpau ,

This is impossible,unless the datasource names and column names of different data sources are the same.

Liang

Thanks @V-lianl-msft  good to know was treating it like an Excel cell which realise you can't do.

HI @smitpau

If I understand your ask, below is what I would do.

Measure = CALCULATE(SUM('BS'[TB]),BS[Sort index] >= 10 && BS[Sort index] <= 15)

Hi Pranit,

Thanks for the help.

The idea is that as the TB (data source) can change the measure would just sum the values of certain rows rather than rely on the data source. So the measure wouldn't refer to a single data source.
